The History of The Bulova Watch company.

Bulova pocket watches are well known for their quality and brand. Although they were initially created as men's watch, Bulova pocket watches were available in different styles for both men and women. Taking a look at the history of Bulova watches, it is interesting to note that it started off from a jewellery shop. In 1875, a person by the name of Joseph Bulova, set off with his own jewellery business. Situated in New York City, it soon became a well known attraction to many shoppers.

Later on, in 1910, Bulova started designing and producing pocket watches. Within a short period of time, the demand for these watches could be felt everywhere and as a result prices also soared. Few years later, a manufacturing plant was established by Bulova in the recognition of the need to satisfy the growing demand.

The first set of jewelled wristwatches was sold to the public in 1919. These were a charm and Bulova watches became even more popular after this production. Although ladies watches were not introduced up until 1924, their popularity never diminished mostly owing to the brand name 'Bulova'.
