Oriosa Multi Dial Swiss Chronograph
- High Quality Vintage Swiss Mechanical Chrono
Oriosa is a less common Swiss watch brand most noted for the excellent mechanical chronographs it produced in the latter half of the 20th Century. This example is a chunky, masculine watch with a 17 Jewel manual wind LANDERON movement which would date the watch to 1969 or later. The matte silver dial is excellent and set within a stainless steel bevel and case. Lettering, minute index and tachymetre are in neat raised silver lettering, and the two silver sub-dials have a concentric "machined" ring pattern. The main dial is marked "T Swiss Made T". The crown is at 3 with chrono push buttons at 2 and 4. The stainless steel case back is marked Swiss Made, antimagnetic, incabloc and waterproof.
This example is in very fine condition, with all functions fully working.
THE CASE IS IN GOOD CONDITION
SIZE 38MM ACROSS WITHOUT THE CROWN.AND 42MM LUG TO LUG.
ORIGINAL LIGHTLY AGED CONDITION.
CLEAN CLEAR LENS.
THE LANDERON CHRONOGRAPH FUNCTIONS ARE WORKING.PRESS THE TOP BUTTON TO START,THE BOTTOM BUTTON STOPS THE HAND,PRESS AGAIN AND THE HAND FLYS BACK TO THE No12. FUNCTION VERY WELL.

ReplyDeleteInteresting. I have this exact same watch, the only difference being that it has a dark brown dial.
ReplyDeleteThe lettering/engraving on the back of the case are identical. I had understood it dated from 1957, it would appear I was 10 years or so out!
